Welcome to The Swanborough Community

At The Swanborough Community, we provide specialist residential rehabilitation and care for adults with an acquired brain injury.

Swanborough House is located in a peaceful residential area of Brighton and is run by Daisy, who has been part of the team for over 20 years. Our home offers a warm, supportive environment where individuals can recover, relearn, and rebuild their lives.

Our team of rehabilitation assistants supports adults living with a wide range of brain injuries and associated conditions, delivering person-centred care tailored to each resident’s needs — whether that’s assistance with everyday tasks, achieving rehabilitation goals, or maximising independence. We work closely with a range of qualified therapists, including, physiotherapists, and speech and language therapists, Occupational Therapist, as well as Art and Music Therapists to ensure care is holistic, progressive, and responsive.

At The Swanborough Community, we believe meaningful activity is central to recovery and wellbeing. Our dedicated activities coordinators run a varied programme of group sessions designed to inspire creativity, promote social connection, and support skill development.

Our community is purpose-designed to feel like home, featuring 35 en-suite bedrooms and two self-contained flats that support more independent living. We also offer therapy rooms, comfortable communal areas, and a tranquil garden. The setting encourages both privacy and social engagement, giving residents the freedom to choose how they spend their time.

We help individuals regain confidence in everyday tasks, engage in meaningful routines, build relationships, and rediscover their sense of identity. Family involvement is welcomed and encouraged throughout each person’s time with us.

The Swanborough Community is well-connected and close to local amenities, parks, and healthcare services. The home is easily accessible by public transport and within easy reach of Brighton city centre. We also offer free on-site parking for visitors.

If you are looking for a safe, supportive environment where recovery and growth are nurtured with dignity and care, we are here to help.
